Women Who Inspire Me

This post is not dedicated to only one woman but three and what they have achieved.

Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Leymah Gbowee, and Tawakkol Karman are the three exceptional women that have received the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize for their tireless pursuit for peace, democracy, and women’s rights in their respective countries. Sharing the Nobel Peace Prize among three women is a first but it sends a clear message to the international community about the importance of women and the integral role they play in establishing peace.

As a young woman, I share the joy of these women’s great accomplishment, their passion, and their simple conviction to pursue justice. These are everyday women. These women are world-changers.

The Concrete Jungle

I went to NYC for the first time a couple of weeks ago and loved it.

It isn’t a “touristy” love either, it’s more of a I’m-suprised-I-feel-so-comfortable-here, Second-home kind of feeling.

I’m a natural explorer, so I basically traversed the city’s main museums and let my imagination run wild.

Here are a few of the photos that I took.

What about you, have you ever been to NYC? What was your impression and/or experience there?
